#CURLSINTHEBAHAMAS

So if you been on my Instagram feed lately you’ve probably noticed I traded my NYC streets for some Bahama blue waters and sandy shores. This trip was provided to me by Frizz Free Curls, they were celebrating their 15 year anniversary and hit me up back in March to see if I’d like to join them amongst 18-19 other bloggers. I was 1. HONORED and 2. ECSTATIC. Of course going to any country you haven’t been be for can be somewhat scary, especially since I didn’t know any of the bloggers who were joining me. Little did I know I was going to bond with everyone so well and make such good connections and friendships.

So this blog post is to show off what we did in the Bahamas, from giving back to the community to enjoying the beautiful sights. I want to thank Mahisha and Janelle for inviting me to be a part of this trip and to their whole team who were so detail oriented to everything they did. GUYS, even the pillows in the hotel room matched their blue and yellow product line color scheme.

Day one: August 3, 2017 –

Landed from NYC, Looking like a damn mess since I was up a 3am to catch a 6:30am flight. I immediately saw one of the CURLS girl telling us to link up outside where a bus was coming to drive us to Warwick Hotel roughly 40 minutes from the airport. Once being greeted with blueberry infused champagne we checked in to to our hotel room. There were products on products from CURLS, good thing too because I didn’t bring any because I knew they’d be providing all the faves! I got ready for their network meet and greet and dinner. This was perfect to really get to know the girls.

Day two: August 4, 2017-

I woke up late as hell because I had passed out on the bed from being so tired and forgot to set my alarm. -__- I got ready quickly and met with the girls to go to Carmichael Primary School to hang out with lovely young local ladies. We helped them create dream boards where we'd cut out different things via magazines of things that popped out to them; words, places, houses, styles and inspiring women. This allowed them to really have a visual presentation of what they want in their lives and aspire to strive/work hard for those things!

Day Three: August 5, 2017 -

This was an early day because we were headed to Exuma where I saw the clearest water I have ever seen. This was such a beautiful experience, we took so many photos! The boat ride was about an hour and a half and definitely worth it. We had the option of snorkeling, but I decided to just relax and lay out instead. A few of the girls joined and that's definitely when I got my sunburn. After coming back we got ready for our last dinner together and touched base on how the experience was for us. A special thank you goes out to CURLS for bringing me out and showing me some major love!! They just added 3 new products to their line, the Blueberry Bliss Milk, the Blueberry Bliss Refresher and their Scalp treatment. I've tried all of them and they work so well.

Here is my VLOG about the whole experience, it is about 16minutes long, but this was a 3 day trip so bare with me haha. This is my first ever vlog, definitely learned a lot from it and will most likely vlog again. I hope you enjoy it!!
